Arsenal fan talks a lot of sense about Alexis Sanchez's move to Man United

Arsenal FC v 1. FC Koeln - UEFA Europa League

According to the Daily Mail, Alexis Sanchez’s move to Manchester United is complete.

The Chilean international is expected at the club’s Carrington training base on Saturday evening to undergo a medical as the transfer saga is brought to an end.

Sanchez will sign a four-and-a-half year contract at Old Trafford worth a stunning £450,000-per-week.

“Expect soon or never,” Man United boss Jose Mourinho said about the status of Sanchez’s move after his side's 1-0 victory over Burnley on Saturday.

“So close, so close, so close, if it doesn't happen it is not going to happen. I know my people doing absolutely everything they can. I think they will be successful.”

Life without Sanchez got off to a rather fine start for Arsenal. They defeated Crystal Palace 4-1, prompting many supporters to suggest that Sanchez won’t be missed.

Yet those are the thoughts of Arsenal fans who aren’t ready to accept that their squad is weaker without Sanchez in it.

But there are some who understand how important a loss Sanchez will be. And some realise that he hasn’t gone to Man United just for the money.

Arsenal fan discusses Sanchez on ArsenalFanTV

One such supporter, named Afzal, made an appearance on ArsenalFanTV on Saturday evening and Man United fans love what he had to say.

“I’m sorry, I defend him. I can totally understand why he went,” Afzal said.

When Robbie, the host, suggested that it was because of money, Afzal replied: “No, no no, that’s where everyone is wrong.”

He then posed a question to Robbie that the host really didn’t want to answer.

“Robbie, are Man United the biggest club in England, yes or no?,” he said. Robbie, begrudgingly, said yes.

“Exactly. That’s the law. The biggest club in England Robbie. They have ambition,” Afzal added.

“They do spend a lot of money. They’ve got players like Pogba, they’ve got a few winners in their team.

“They’re second in the league this season, they’re playing Champions League football, they will be playing Champions League football next season. How has he just gone their for the money.

“It’s the same with the Robin van Persie situation. Everyone was saying he went there for the money. A year after, he lifted them to the league title. Sanchez could do that.”

Arsenal fans won’t want to agree with Afzal, but he’s spot on.
