Napoli are demanding one player from Chelsea in return for getting Maurizio Sarri

It looks almost a dead certain that Chelsea will have a new manager next season.

Antonio Conte may have guided the Blues to the FA Cup trophy, but the constant negativity portrayed by the Italian and the fact they finished fifth in the Premier League hints that his time is pretty much up.

And one name keeps being mentioned with succeeding Conte; Napoli's Maurizio Sarri.

The Italian guided the Neapolitan side to an impressive second place finish - amassing 91 points - while also playing some of the most exciting football on the continent.

Sarri could bring the change of philosophy and dynamism the the Blues need to dig themselves out of the rut they're currently in.

Rumours are circulating that Carlo Ancelotti has already agreed a two-year deal to become Napoli's new boss, with Sarri rejecting a mega-money offer from Zenit St Petersburg in the hopes of landing the Chelsea job.

And the Serie A side are prepared to let the deal go through and will also allow Sarri's £7m release clause to be waived if one condition is met.

As reported by the Telegraph, all Napoli will ask for in return is a cut-price deal for defender David Luiz.

Given that the Brazilian defender only made 10 appearances in the Premier League last season, the situation appears to be a win-win for Chelsea.

While they would have liked to have commanded a sizeable fee for the 31-year-old, letting him leave on the cheap to get a top-class manager would be a great deal on paper.

The report suggests Napoli would be looking at sorting a deal for under £15m, a pretty big reduction on the £34m Chelsea paid PSG in 2016.

The fact they're demanding a player like Luiz suggests the Italian club are fearful of losing star defender Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.

The Senegalese international was arguably the finest centre-back in Italy and Europe's elite are already circling.
