Arsenal fans send message to Unai Emery about Aaron Ramsey after 2-0 Watford win

The Unai Emery era at Arsenal is beginning to show positive signs.

After defeats in their first two fixtures of the season, the Gunners have now won their last seven games in all competitions.

Arsenal are now fifth in the table following their 2-0 win over Watford and they look on course to make a push for the top four this season.

A Craig Cathcart own goal and Mesut Ozil's late strike sealed the points for Emery, in a game which the Hornets arguably dominated.

Aaron Ramsey was a surprise starter after reports emerged in the week that the Welshman will leave the Gunners at the end of the season.

Emery handed him the number ten role, but Ramsey was hauled off on 63 minutes for Alex Iwobi after an uninspiring display.

Iwobi's cameo was key to Arsenal's victory, with the Nigerian winger assisting the first goal.

And Gunners fans believe it is time Iwobi was handed a permanent place in the starting lineup at the expense of Ramsey.

This would then allow Ozil to slot into his favoured central role, with either Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang or Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the right.

After the transfer saga surrounding the Welshman, now would be a time to start building a midfield without in.

Ramsey could even leave in January if a club is prepared to spend around £25m.

The Welshman was also surprisingly handed the captain's armband when Petr Cech departed the pitch with injury in the first-half.

Ozil was then handed the armband after Ramsey was substituted and the Welshman was evidently not happy with Emery's decision.

It's going to be interesting to see how the manager deals with the situation in the coming weeks.
