Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku have been downgraded on FIFA 20

The 2018/19 season was one to forget for Alexis Sanchez, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.

All three players struggled immensely at Manchester United, with the former two completing moves to Inter Milan this summer in response.

Sanchez was anonymous for the entirety of last season, while Lukaku only enjoyed a brief spell of form upon Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's arrival at the club as manager.

As for Matic, well, he's been ousted from the team by Scott McTominay, making just one substitute appearance so far this campaign.

Now, if you'd have taken one look at the trio's FIFA 19 ratings at the start of the game last year, you would never have predicted such falls from grace.

Sanchez and Lukaku were both rated 87, while Matic was one of the best midfielders on the game with a muscular 86 rating.

But this time around, things are very, very different.

Thanks to the guys over at FUTWiz, all three players' FIFA 20 ratings are now available to view.

Sanchez's FIFA 20 rating

From one of FIFA's finest wingers to mediocrity.

The likes of Felipe Anderson (84), Jadon Sancho (84) and Nicolas Pepe (83) all outrank the Chilean on the new game.

Lukaku's FIFA 20 rating

In the space of just 12 months, Lukaku has gone from 84 pace all the way down to 75.

His dribbling, shooting, physical and passing have all decreased as well, with his defending stat the only one remaining the same.

Matic's FIFA 20 rating

Matic's rating now stands at just 81, less than Joao Moutinho (84), Ruben Neves (82) and Lucas Torreira (82).

With only 48 pace and just one of his base stats over the 80 mark, the Serbian is unlikely to feature in many teams on FIFA 20 - if any come October/November.

It really is amazing what 12 months in football can do to a player.

During 2017/18, Lukaku was banging in the goals, Matic was enforcing United's midfield like a beast and Sanchez still commanded the respect of his peers.

Lukaku and Matic applaud United fans

The only one who appears to be bouncing back this season is Lukaku, with the Belgian scoring in his first two games for Inter.

Can Sanchez do the same at Inter? And can Matic win Solskjaer's trust?
