Alexis Sanchez scored two goals before getting sent off during roller coaster Inter debut

UC Sampdoria v FC Internazionale - Serie A

Want to make a Manchester United fan scowl? Just mention Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean’s time at Old Trafford was an unqualified disaster as he failed to replicate the electric form he showed while in an Arsenal shirt.

He dropped out of the first team completely and it was quite a slog for United to even find a way of offloading him.

Nobody wanted him, or his exorbitant wages, and it looked like he would be stuck in Manchester for another season.

However, United were able to hash out a deal with Italian giants Inter Milan in the final week of the transfer window that saw Sanchez join them on loan.

The Old Trafford faithful breathed a collective sigh of relief - but that familiar scowl might just be smeared across their face sooner than they would have hoped.

That is because Sanchez has only gone and scored a double on his Inter debut - and all before halftime.

The first was a particularly lucky effort as Stefano Senzi's strike from distance deflected off Sanchez before the former Arsenal man notched up his second of the afternoon with a simple tap-in.

What do you make of that, United fans?

It can only be a positive thing for the game if Sanchez can rediscover his sublime touch, but the Old Trafford faithful might want to look away as he does it.

However, in typical Alexis fashion, it went off a cliff as he was later shown a second yellow and sent for an early shower.

From the high of a rapid double to watching the rest of the tie from the changing rooms - one thing is for sure, Alexis won't be forgetting his Inter debut anytime soon.
