Last night's 119-113 Washington win was marked by some impactful individual performances from both sides in DC.
Wizard’s rookie Rui Hachimura is showing remarkable improvement already in the NBA as he demonstrates growth with each coming game, the Japanese forward has consistently improved his shot, putting up a team-high 27 points against the 76ers.
Playing just over 42 minutes the 21-year-old hit 11-of-18 in field goals and added seven rebounds as he demonstrates his versatility playing both forward and centre positions as required to compensate for the injury-plagued Wizards. Despite struggling from the outside, Hachimura’s signature mid-range jumper has saved the day on numerous occasions and is a favourite amongst his teammates.
Although a lack of efficiency clouded Philadelphia forward Tobias Harris with 28 shot attempts, it was his season-high 33 points which led much of the 76ers game as Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons left the bulk of the responsibility to the 27-year-old. However, the Sixers committed a total of 21 turnovers as they struggled to match the explosive performance put on by the Wizards.

Coming off the tip strong, Philadelphia put up an 11-point lead in the first quarter but let their foot off the gas quick, allowing Washington to hit 40 points in the second.
Davis Bertans also came to life offensively for the Wizards, after spending his first three seasons with the Spurs in a limited role, pouring in 22 points in his first 17 minutes to change the pace of the game as well as hitting his first six three-point attempts. He finished on 25 points, shooting at 7-of-13 from distance.
Sixers’ Joel Embiid managed 26 points, as well as a season-best 21 rebounds, whilst Ben Simmons got 17 points with 10 assists. But this, combined with the help of Harris, was not enough to counteract a severe sloppiness on the ball and a weak defence.
Philadelphia dropped to 5-7away after last night’s loss and 15-7 overall, whilst the Wizards rise to 7-13.News Now - Sport News
