Super Computer predicts the Champions League last-16 ties


The Champions League last-16 draw on Monday morning threw up some brilliant match-ups.

The tie of the round is Manchester City vs Real Madrid.

Man City haven't been at their best in the Premier League under Pep Guardiola but remain one of the main contenders for the Champions League.

Real Madrid look back to near their best under Zinedine Zidane, and we all know how much success he's had in Europe's biggest club competition.

Elsewhere, Liverpool were handed a very tough draw against Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona and Napoli meet for what should be another cracking tie, while Dortmund and PSG will play each other in another intriguing matchup.

The Super Computer isn't predicting great things for the English clubs.

It predicts that one English side will make it to the late eight - Manchester City.

That means bad news for the other three. Liverpool and Spurs are predicted to fall in agonising fashion on away goals, while Chelsea get blown away by Bayern.


There aren't too many surprises elsewhere.

PSG are predicted to beat Dortmund both home and away, while Barcelona thrash Napoli by five goals.

Juventus are also expected to cruise through to the last eight, keeping Cristiano Ronaldo's hopes of alive of winning the Champions league with three different teams.
