It appears that Sony have given its clearest indication so far as to when the PS5 is set for release.

According to Tom’s Guide, who have spoken to renowned Reddit user Barron-Blade, he has revealed that the store system has received listings for a number of third-party PS5 accessories.

The accessories for the console appear to be: A system stand, a magnetic controller dock, a magnetic play and charge cable, a USB-C glow cable and a controller grip kit.

The date that these third-party accessories are due for arrival is November 3, however, the PS5 is currently expected for release in mid-to-late November.

The reasoning for these differences could come down to one of three things. Firstly, the PS5 may come out earlier than initially anticipated. This would certainly seem unlikely at this stage, but we cannot totally rule it out.

Another, perhaps more plausible explanation, might be that the date may in fact be a placeholder as shipment for hardware, particularly in these unprecedented times, can be unreliable. Subsequently, worldwide supply-chains may still not be operating at full capacity.

Alternatively, the accessories might in fact be released before the console itself. This is exactly what happened for Sony’s previous launch of a new console the PS4. It has definitely been the trend of all video gaming systems in recent years.

There are, meanwhile, certain games for players to get excited about with the likes of Marvel’s 'Spider-Man' and 'Horizon Forbidden West' already confirmed. While there is also the latest additions to the ever-popular 'Ratchet and Clank' and 'Gran Turismo' series for gamers to get excited about.

What we know so far, therefore, is that Sony have announced a launch date of Holiday 2020. Now that we are currently in July, it is believed that the Japanese technology company is not far off confirming a date for a release in their ever popular next instalment in the video-game franchise.
