The Scottish Premier League season may be up and running, but things are far from settled at Parkhead.

Celtic have big aspirations of making this season a landmark campaign by adding another league title to their record.

After recording their ninth last term, victory this time around will make it 10-in-a-row - a record which would cap off a historic decade of domination.

However if the Bhoys are to do that then they'll need to strengthen their squad.

Neil Lennon is already making good progress in the transfer market, but he's far from done.

Several names have already been linked with a move to Glasgow, however the biggest transfer saga looks to be based on a potential outgoing.

Of course we're talking about Odsonne Edouard.

Barely has a day gone by where the striker hasn't been on the back pages of a newspaper as speculation continues to grow over his future.

Clubs such as Arsenal and Leeds United have been linked with a move, however no progress is yet to be made.

But according to fresh reports, one potentials suitor is already putting plans in place.

The Daily Mail claim that Leicester City are preparing an offer for the Celtic star.

The Foxes are determined to bolster their attacking line this summer and see a move for the 22-year-old as an ideal option.

A familiar face to Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, it's thought that a connection between the two could be enough to entice Edouard to the King Power Stadium this summer.

Rodgers was in charge when Celtic signed the striker from Paris Saint-Germain, and could now be looking to reunite with the star.

One obstacle is that funds could be limited at Leicester City due to the economic impact of COVID-19, but it's claimed that the Foxes are looking at options to offload Kelechi Iheanacho in order to fund a deal.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

This is certainly one to watch.

While interest in Odsonne Edouard is nothing new this summer, the fact that it's Leicester City that are stepping up their efforts is very interesting.

Leicester are the sort of side who could realistically meet the striker's ambition and that's a big thing.

Add into that the fact that it was Brendan Rodgers that brought him to the United Kingdom while at Parkhead, and you start to see what the stars might align on this one.

With Leicester needing to raise funds there's plenty of work still to do on this one, but if the Foxes are determined enough to make it happen then I wouldn't bet against a deal being struck.
