After 16 years away it seems that Leeds United are not taking their Premier League status for granted.
Despite running away with the league title in last season's Championship campaign, the Whites know that they have plenty of work to do as they prepare for the season ahead.
Playing in the top flight is a different level of difficulty, and Leeds would be foolish to get complacent before a ball has been kicked.
Marcelo Bielsa is keen to keep the faith with his current squad, however it'd be naive to think that he doesn't need to strengthen.
Victor Orta has already completed deals to sign striker Rodrigo and centre-back Robin Koch, but he's far from done.
An attacking player is seen as the next priority, with Ryan Kent linked with a move.
The Rangers FC man is in-demand after impressing at Ibrox, however no deal to take him to Elland Road has been agreed.
Kent addressed his future over the weekend, saying that he's not sure what the future hold for him, but that he'll keep working hard for Rangers until something concrete happens.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Kent said: “Every time I go out on the pitch I just want to give my best for Rangers.
“This is a club that has given me opportunities that I’ve not had before. It’s a massive football club so I’ll continue to do right by Rangers.
“I can’t thank the fans enough, they’ve always been supportive of me even when I was on loan. It’s difficult for loan players to come into a club and be welcomed but they did that with me.
“That was a big incentive for coming back here, getting a feel for the size of this club.
"The fans are one of, if not the, biggest thing about this club. You don’t get fans like Rangers fans so every time I step out on the pitch it’s an honour to represent them.
“I’ll continue to give my best for Rangers. Where my future takes me, I’m not sure but as long as I’ve got a Rangers shirt on, I’ll give my best."
GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...
Ryan Kent would certainly fit the bill at Elland Road.
The Rangers man is exactly the sort of player that Marcelo Bielsa is after with the former Liverpool man boasting the technical and physical attributes to be a success.
Whether Leeds can strike a deal for the player, however, remains to be seen.
Rangers are unlikely to want to lose their star man this summer, and that could means that the Whites have to look elsewhere.
That said, a move to the Premier League would no doubt be appealing.
Victor Orta is likely to be plotting a fresh move to sign the Rangers man, and it'll be interesting to see how this one develops over the coming weeks.
