Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is preparing for his 100th game in charge of Manchester United.
The Norwegian managed to turn his interim appointment into a permanent one in 2019, and there have been plenty of great moments during that time.
But the jury remains out on whether Solskjaer can really guide United back to the top.
And probably with good reason. While United have recorded some high-profile wins under Solskjaer, they’ve also produced some dire displays in defeats to Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur this season.
However, we know what Solskjaer can achieve. This year alone he’s recorded wins over Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.
And it’s those successes that made United’s disorganised transfer window so frustrating for the club’s supporters.
Jadon Sancho didn’t arrive and the Red Devils were left to scramble on deadline day, eventually bringing in Alex Telles, Edinson Cavani and Facundo Pellistri.
It led to calls for executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward to lose his job, while fans continued their #GlazersOut campaign.
Thread 'dispels' 10 Man United misconceptions
The simple fact of the matter is that United haven’t been competitive since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013 and many mistakes have been made.
But a new Twitter thread seeks to put a positive spin on the club’s future by dispelling 10 common misconceptions about the club.
The thread was created by United commentator Tim Long and it’s gathering plenty of interest.
