Well, who saw that coming?
Following Arsenal’s impressive performance at Old Trafford last weekend where they came away with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United, the Gunners were fully expected to sweep aside Aston Villa at the Emirates.
This was a Villa side who had lost their previous two matches to Leeds and Southampton.
But within one minute, Dean Smith’s side looked like they meant business.
In just 45 seconds, they had the ball in the back of the net only for VAR to rule out John McGinn’s strike for offside.
But Villa won’t care about that now.
A first half own goal from Bukayo Saka put Villa 1-0 ahead at the break before an Ollie Watkins brace saw them ease to a 3-0 victory.
While Villa will be delighted to have got back to winning ways, Arsenal fans couldn’t believe their side’s awful display.
And what better way to judge the mood of Gooners than by watching AFTV?
During the 3-0 defeat, it was at its very best and we’ve found several clips that sum up their evening.
DT reacting to Willian
This is coming from a guy who tweeted: “Let’s make something clear to Chelsea fans, Willian is not a reject, it was him that rejected YOU.”
Well, this is awkward.
Then after Willian dragged a shot horribly wide, DT exploded again.
“This is either going to go 1-1 or 2-0”
That’ll be 2-0 then…
