Chris Eubank Jr  has a fresh change in opponent for his return to competitive action this weekend.

The son of British boxing royalty Chris Eubank Sr will take on Germany's Anatoli Muratov at the Wembley Arena on Saturday in London, sources confirmed to GIVEMESPORT on Monday night. The bout will top the bill of a BOXXER event featuring the returns of David Avanesyan, Mikael Lawal and Richard Riakporhe.

Sky Sports first reported news of the fight.

Muratov is taking the fight on just six days' notice. Eubank Jr's original opponent, fellow German Sven Elbir, was forced to withdraw from the fight after he returned a positive coronavirus test.

But this is nothing new to the Friedrichshafen native who will have incredibly fought three times in the space of three months by the time the final bell rings on the night.

Eubank Jr (30-2, 22 KOs), 32, is coming off a unanimous landslide decision win over Marcus Morrison in May.

The Brighton native has won four of his past five fights including against James DeGale and Matt Korobov.

Eubank Jr had no problem with Morrison and warned Muratov he will be bringing bad intentions with him into the ring on Saturday night.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Eubank Jr said: "I can be whatever I want to be.

"It all depends on what I'm trying to achieve on the given night.

"On that given night, I wanted to achieve 10 rounds. I wanted to experience what it was like to have Roy Jones in my corner, and to listen to his instructions, and to shake off some of that ring rust.

"I had been out of the ring for a long, long time.

"Could I have stopped the fight earlier? Yes, but that wasn't my goal.

"That's not how it's always going to be. Fighters need to understand that was a freak occurrence. Most of the time, if I see an opportunity, I'm going to take it. You're going to go.

"On that occasion, it wasn't the case, but in my next performance I will be looking for the stoppage early."
