Salah, 29, scored one goal and set up another as the Reds ran rampant over a Watford side lacking in confidence in the early kick-off on Saturday afternoon at Vicarage Road.
"He is top. We all see it. Who is better than him?" Klopp said after the game.
"His performance was massive today. The pass for the first goal was great and the second goal was special."
Salah, who joined for £43m in 2017, has recouped every single penny, helping Klopp's side lift the Champions League in 2019 and the Premier League a year later, ending the club's 30-year title drought in the process.
Salah, by that time a plucky 23-year-old, ended up scoring 29 goals in all competitions. It was at Roma that he made his name as a speedy winger, with good technique and an eye for goal.
On one such occasion, he decided to put his speed to the ultimate test.
Poor old Alba.
He never really had a chance, did he?
To be fair he gave it a good go despite clearly not having the legs for it but there was only ever really going to be one winner.
Alba was left shaking his head trailing in his wake, while Salah couldn't resist a smirk.

This will never ever get old.
Roma ended up drawing the game 1-1 in no small part thanks to Salah, who terrorised Alba on the right flank together with full-back Alessandro Florenzi.
Luciano Spalletti later described Salah as an 'unpredictable player' after another breathtaking performance against Fiorentina in 2016.
“I have no doubt that he’ll prove his quality on the pitch," Spalletti was quoted as saying by KingFut.com.
"He’s a really unpredictable player who runs at the defence with the ball between his feet – he can get out of sticky situations single-handedly when you’re expecting him to lose it.
“Then you have a guy like [Juan Manuel] Iturbe, for example, who needs more direction in terms of what he needs to be doing. Salah has more instinct, more talent, so he needs to be left alone a bit more.
"When you look for him with his back to an opponent, he usually manages to get free using his movement, but even he can still improve with the ball. He’s a reliable player."
