The former boxing world champion Floyd Mayweather recently became the talk of the town for his interaction with a fan after the game between LA Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies.

Footage of this incident has recently surfaced online as Mayweather refuses to take a picture with a teenager because he had 'painted nails'.

According to TMZ reports, the incident took place after the match where fans rushed to the court to take pictures with the former champion.

The teenager in the video approached Floyd in a bit to take a picture with him when Mayweather noticed his painted nails.

Upon seeing this, the 44-year-old said: "You got painted nails, I don't take pictures with guys with no painted nails."

After which Mayweather was escorted away by his bodyguards leaving the boy alone.
The boy was then heard saying: "Damn bro, why you a homophobe."

"You guys saw that first. Floyd doesn't want to take a photo with me 'cause my nails are painted. Bruh, really? I didn't mean to rush him like that."

As the footage reached the internet, it went viral in no time, as many fans and supporters deemed it as a 'homophobic' act.

Following the backlash, a representative of Mayweather said that he was unable to take the picture as he was in a hurry to leave the stadium.

As for the teenager calling Mayweather 'homophobe', the representative says that Mayweather believes he is far from the truth.

It is not the first time Mayweather has passed such comments. Back in 2017, when he faced the UFC superstar Conor McGregor, he called McGregor a 'f****t' in a press conference ahead of his fight.

Following this, Mayweather faced a huge backlash from the combat sporting community, which led to him being forced to apologize for his actions.

In his apology, he said that he had "nothing against gays or lesbians at all".
