Frank Lampard
Frank Lampard Profile
Frank Lampard, aged 42, is currently manager of Premier League outfit Chelsea, enduring a successful playing career prior to that with the west London club. Lampard, who was part of the ‘golden era’ of the English national team, made 648 appearances for Chelsea, scoring 211 times and captained the Blues to enormous success.
Throughout his playing career at Stamford Bridge, Lampard won the League Cup twice, FA Cup thrice and lifted the Premier League trophy on three occasions. There is no doubt that Lampard’s net worth has increased since being appointed Chelsea manager, but his playing career was something to be remembered for - finishing second in the Ballon d’Or in 2005 is the perfect example of Lampard’s quality.
Not only did Lampard succeed domestically, but the England midfielder inspired Chelsea to European success, winning the Champions League final in 2012 against Bayern Munich in dramatic fashion. After 13 years at Chelsea and often compared to Frank Lampard and Paul Scholes, Lampard spent one season with Manchester City before heading to the MLS with New York City where he would end his playing career.
