Liverpool FC is a football club in England that currently competes in the Premier League. 

The club was founded in 1982 and plays their home games at Anfield.

In the 1970s and 1980s, Liverpool established itself as a significant power in English and European football when Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish led the club to 11 league titles and four European Cups. In 2015, under the tutelage of Rafael Benítez, Liverpool became European champions for the fifth time, and Jurgen Klopp won the sixth title in 2019.

Liverpool have won six European Cups, more than any other English club, three UEFA Cups, four UEFA Super Cups, one FIFA Club World Cup, 18 League titles, seven FA Cups, a record eight League Cups, 15 FA Community Shields and one Football League Super Cup.

The club is one of the most supported teams in the world and it has two long-standing rivalries with Manchester United and Everton.
